We visit local restaurants for our vegan "Dining Out" events. We bring in speakers, medical doctors and animal advocates, for inspiring health related talks. Holiday Dining - Choose your entree - - -

I finally received the menu details for our Holiday Dining Out at Cara Mia.

First, let me remind you that our Special Santa (Dave Etzold) will be overseeing our OPTIONAL gift exchange. If you wish to join in the fun, bring a wrapped present of about $10.

We will also be collecting non-perishable food that will be taken to The Sharing Center. (Thanks go to Michele Cielukowski and Naomi Bergner for this excellent suggestion.)

And here are the details:

When: Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 6pm

Where: Cara Mia Riverside Italian Restaurant, 11 Riverside Drive, Cocoa Village

Menu:

We have 3 entrée choices so be sure to pick one when you make your reservation.

Meatless Beef Wellington:
(meatless) pan seared seasoned beef with mushroom ragout wrapped in phylo dough then slow baked to a golden brown, served over rosemary roasted new potatoes and finished in a wild mushroom mushroom sauce accompanied by a horseradish gastrique.

Roasted Veggie stuffed Ravioli:
Homemade hand rolled pasta dough stuffed with roasted vegetables, aromatic garlic, and toasted pine-nuts surrounding a bed of sauteed spinach all accented by the wonderful flavor of our white wine tarragon "cream" sauce

Stuffed Meatless Chicken Breast Risotto:
(meatless) Chicken breast stuffed with vegan bacon, fresh spinach, and cheese substitute, rolled in smoked almonds and panko bread crumbs, flash pan fried, served over grilled onion and herb risotto then finished in a cherry burgundy wine reduction accompanied by fresh seasonal vegetables.

The chef says. "While these are quite labor intensive to prep they are quick and easy to get out of the kitchen and onto a table."

Each entree will come with a salad and bread accompanied by oil for dipping.
Price: $15.95. This does NOT include tax, tip or any beverage. You will be paying the restaurant so credit cards are OK.
Please remember that "no shows" will have to pay. Please reserve by Wednesday, August 18.
